A Weekend of Art at Wellington Yard, Liverpool

I’m really pleased to share that I’ll be showing two pieces of work as part of Socially Distanced, a group exhibition of sculptural approaches produced by Luke Skiffington of Waterloo based gallery 50MV.

This weekend-long event features a total of three exciting exhibitions under one roof, bringing together artists from across the UK in a dynamic celebration of contemporary art. As well as Socially Distanced, you can visit:

  • The Joy of Painting – curated by Gareth Kemp, featuring a joyful and diverse selection of painters from around the UK.
  • Sell Out – curated by Josie Jenkins, offering over 20 Liverpool artists’ works at affordable prices. A great chance to support local talent and maybe take a piece home.

The opening night social is due to take place on Friday 21st March, 5pm–8:30pm. Do come along to say hello and view the art on display. Hope to see you there!

Venue:
3 Wellington Yard, Wavertree, Liverpool (next to the Little Owl Café)
Open: Saturday 12–6pm, Sunday 12–5pm

Preview night: Paper Cuts at 50MV

What a fantastic evening in Crosby! A huge thank you to Luke Skiffington for being an incredible host, and to everyone who came out to support the Paper Cuts 2 show.

If you couldn’t make it, there’s still time to catch the exhibition. It’s open by appointment from December 1st to December 3rd. All artwork is available for purchase through the gallery and online.

Upcoming show Paper Cuts 2 at 50 MV, Liverpool

The countdown to Paper Cuts 2 is officially underway! Join us for the opening event on Saturday, 30th November, from 5-7pm, where we’ll gather for drinks in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The exhibition will then run by appointment from 1st to 3rd December.

Nestled in a Mersey View unit, just a short walk from the iconic Anthony Gormley installation on Crosby Beach, this intimate space will showcase an exciting and diverse collection of artists including: Ally Wallace, Beth Jones, Credo, Daniel Halsall, Elizabeth Challinor, Ellie Towers, Fiona Stirling, Frances Disley, Frea Buckler, Graham Lister, Hayley Harman, James Bacchi-Andreoli, Jennifer Douglas, Landlines Studio, Luke Skiffington, Marc Renshaw, Mark Brogan and Ruby Tingle.

We’d be delighted to see you there! For those traveling from outside Liverpool, the gallery’s postcode is LL22 6QB. Don’t miss this wonderful celebration of paper based creativity!

Between the Pages exhibition in St Helens

Nice to get a glimpse of the new show Between the Pages at World of Glass in St Helens. Unfortunately due to the opening times of the space I have been unable to check it out myself but this little clip gives you an idea of what you can see at this unique site. You can catch my work on display until the 3rd September.

Upcoming show: “Between the Pages” at World of Glass, St Helens

I am absolutely delighted to share some real life exhibition news with you all (at long last… not something virtual)!

Involvement in physical shows seems like a distant memory since Covid-19 hit, but the time has arrived for “Between the Pages”. The show was initially due to open in 2020 but because of restrictions, the premises had to close. It has now been rescheduled and will be running from Saturday 10th July until Friday 3rd September. You can find out more about this show and the other three due to open simultaneously at World of Glass here.

Tune in now… it is time for Threshold X

Today’s the day! If you fancy escaping the monotony of lockdown restrictions with some creative action, then head over to Threshold’s site over the next couple of days for music, art and performances! It may be distanced but the festival vibe is still very much alive… Catch you there!

Virtual Event: Threshold X, 2021

Sadly with Covid restrictions still in place, Threshold X (the tenth and final instalment of Threshold Festival) will be another socially distanced / online event. This means the organisers have had to think of an alternative way to share the visual art and performances that had been planned.

I am delighted to reveal that you can tune in, enjoy festival happenings online and explore the rather fancy virtual art gallery from the 9th April until 10th of April by clicking the link provided here!

Threshold E-stival 2020

Threshold Festival has gone virtual for the weekend!

In light of having to postpone the live event until further notice, they will be hosting an e-festival instead which can be viewed on their site. To see the online display of all involved artist’s works, click here. You can see the dedicated gallery to my piece here too. Fingers crossed that it won’t be too long before we can show in real life again.

Threshold 2020: Postponed Until Further Notice

Unfortunately due to lockdown restrictions, the final Threshold Festival has had to be postponed until further notice (the main driving factor being social responsibility and a concern for the health and safety of the wider community). The organisers have confirmed that any tickets purchased will be valid for the rescheduled event. Please stay tuned to their site for further information here.

Upcoming show: Threshold 2020

It is that time of year again and I am thrilled to share I will be participating in the final edition of Threshold. The event is the tenth hosted by this deeply passionate artist team and looks to be an incredibly exciting one given the line up! Stay tuned to find out more in the coming weeks…
