The New Light show at the Mall Galleries, London opens today and will run until 20th September. Here you can view work from a number of established artists with a connection to the north of England alongside a selection of artists from the “New Lights Art Prize”.

Delighted to announce that Typographic Universe by Steven Heller and Gail Anderson has just been published by Thames and Hudson. The book launch is taking place at The Powerhouse Arena, New York on 16th September 2014.
The book features a few of my recent sculptural experiments with typography: Sculptural Net Number 1, Sculptural Net Number 2 and my on-going book sculpture Tameidiau Ohona’i (begun in 2012).

I will be giving a talk to Salford University Visual Arts students in the Allerton building today at 10.00am. I shall be discussing artistic practice and navigating social media. All year groups are welcome.
My piece “Emergence” will be on display as part of the New Lights Art Prize exhibition at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle. The show will run from 22nd January until 1st April 2014.
I will be hosting a printmaking workshop at Local Creation Studios in Altrincham on Sunday 20th October from 1-4pm. I have received some exceedingly exciting news this evening! My piece Tameidiau Ohona’i has been awarded the Norman Ackroyd Printmaking Prize at New Lights. Such an honour!
My work will be on show at the Mercer Gallery in Harrogate from 21st September until 17th November alongside other shortlisted artists. The gallery is open Tuesdays to Saturdays 10am-5pm and Sundays from 2pm-5pm.
I am thrilled to report I have had two pieces shortlisted for the New Lights Art Prize.
