Preview of Stretford Arts Collective Exhibition

Friday saw the opening of SA32‘s first arts exhibition at Stretford Public hall; a beautiful Victorian grade 2 listed building commissioned by John Rylands. Held in the Ballroom, the exhibition showcased the work of local artists as part of the venue’s rebirth as a cultural centre, creative work space and community hub. This free event was opened by DJ, producer and graphic artist “Mr Scruff” and ran until Sunday 13th November.

The Manchester Contemporary VIP Collector’s Tour, ArtWork Atelier, Salford

Following an exceedingly busy few weeks, I have finally managed to move into my new, larger studio space with fellow artist Nick Sykes at ArtWork Atelier (just in time for the VIP Collector’s tour as part of the Manchester Contemporary festival)! Opening this evening only (from 6-8pm), collectors will have the opportunity to view the studios and speak to a variety of artists about their work.

Preview of Neo Print Prize 2016

On the 27th August, Neo Gallery opened their doors from 2pm-4pm for the Print Prize preview. The first event to be housed in their new, larger space at the Market Place Shopping Centre in Bolton (only a short distance from their former home); it houses an impressive display of shortlisted artists from around the world with many interesting, examples of what it means to engage with print as a medium of creative expression.

Neo:Print Prize 2016

Absolutely thrilled to share that I will be showing work in Neo Print Prize 2016 along with 91 artists from across the world. The exhibition will display pieces using a huge range of print media and aims to “raise awareness of new trends and directions in contemporary printmaking”.

Works were selected by Nancy Campbell (Artist, writer and editor of “Printmaking Today”), Rachel Gladfelter (Director of Pace Prints New York), Gill Saunders (Senior Curator, V&A) and Jo Stockham (Artist, Professor and Head of Print at the Royal College of Art).

Neo Print Prize 2016 is open to the public from Thursday 25th August until Sunday 30th October (with viewing times from Thursday to Sunday, 11am – 5pm).

The preview takes place on Saturday 27th August from 2pm – 4pm.

Upcoming show “Gallery Figures”, Seager Gray, Mill Valley, California

I’m delighted to share that my work will be on show in Mill Valley, California from 11th June – 7th July at Seager Gray’s “Gallery Figures” exhibition: a display of figurative works from gallery artists.

A bit of information about the art festival I am participating in. It will take place in Altrincham from 25th June – 9th July. I am currently working hard on an installation piece for the exhibition… updates will be available on both Instagram and Tumblr.

“Art of the Book” preview night at Seager Gray Gallery

Tonight is the night! The opening reception for “Art of the Book” is here. Open from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at Seager Gray Gallery, Mill Valley, 108 Throckmorton Ave. Unfortunately I am unable to make it along to the event myself, but wish everyone the best of luck and hope they have a wonderful evening.

“The Art of the Book”, Seager/Gray Gallery in Mill Valley, California

This month Seager Gray present their 11th annual “Art of the Book” show; an exhibition of book related material including fine press, hand-made and altered books. Art Market San Francisco, 2016

Happen to be in San Francisco over the next few days and fancy seeing some artwork?

Art Market San Francisco has returned to the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion to celebrate its sixth edition. With nearly 70 top galleries from the Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York and beyond, it promises to be a fantastic display of gallery represented contemporary art.
